Can anyone give advice to a pre-law student?

Hello, I'm a Junior in high school and trying to decide what university to attend as a pre law student. Is it better to study things like political science, philosophy, economics on the east or west coast? Specifically California or New England? Also what would be the best major? I want to become a lawyer and I know political science is common, but is it most practical? On a different note: sorority or dorm? Which to choose? Pros and cons? Thank you so much :)
